Every August, thousands of first year students move onto campus and will need your help! This is an excellent opportunity to get your organization's name out to potential members and make our new students feel at home at Miami University. We are looking for student organization members to help our new students get loaded in to their new homes in the residence halls!
Please only sign up if you can make a commitment to your organization, the Center for Student Engagement, Activities and Leadership, and Miami University that you will be present to help first years during your assigned shift. Some notes on registering:
- You must sign up as an individual and we will do our best to assign organizations to similar residence hall quads so you are working together. Remember to put the name of your student organization in the notes section! This is the only way we can match you with your organization. If you do not do so you will not be with other members of your organization.
- If you'd like to count this towards any required community service hour requirements, make sure you are a member of your organization's user group prior to registering for this opportunity.
- You will not receive a confirmation and will be given any and all slots you sign up for, so please only sign up for shifts that you feel you can complete.
- If you are living on campus and want to move in early to participate in this opportunity, you need to pay the early move in charges. We recommend Juniors and Seniors to volunteer for this opportunity.
