The rain garden and wet prairie were created due to flooding of this portion of the Mill Creek. They are designed to collect and store rain water running off of the parking lot and soccer fields, reducing the volume of water entering the creek. They were planted with native plants, but like most gardens is being over-run with weeds and invasive plants such as pear trees.
