Who We Are

TOPSS follows the choice pantry model which preserves customer dignity and eliminates waste. We serve customers representing approximately 300 households to retain responsibility of identifying nutritious food choices as they shop. Volunteer shopping assistants aid and encourage customers to utilize the My Plate nutrition chart and other helpful dietary information. Volunteer drivers deliver food to home bound customers. Receptionist welcome customers and register them for services. Volunteers also help sort donations and stock shelves.

What We Do

The Talawanda Oxford Pantry and Social Services (TOPSS) opened July 2007 as a private non-profit entity and community endeavor to alleviate hunger in the Talawanda School District. It is worth noting, that the Talawanda School District, geographically is Ohio's the largest district.We serve eligible individuals and families without regard to religious affiliation, race, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, veteran status, or disability. Eligibility is determined by poverty guidelines set by the Federal and State governments based on household income and household size.
