By “passing the mic” to the community, we collaboratively develop mutually-beneficial, transformational learning opportunities which produce measurable outcomes for community members and cultivate civically-engaged student leaders who interrogate their social positions and the structures of power and privilege that affect us all.

Through the equal sharing of power and knowledge via sustained university-community partnerships, Miami students, faculty, and staff will become courageous, empathetic, and effective community-oriented leaders driven to create a more just and equitable world.
