Thank you for your willingness to help with Oxford Empty Bowls!
We are beyond excited to be returning to our beloved, in-person benefit soup luncheon as we celebrate our 20th anniversary and 20 years of coming together as a community in the fight against hunger. It takes many helping hands to put on this event, and we are grateful for your willingness to participate! Here's the scoop:
Location: Oxford Community Arts Center, 10 S. College Avenue, Oxford
Volunteer Dates and Times:
- Thursday, November 10 - Set-up (bowl washing) starting at 4:00 p.m. till finished
- Friday, November 11 - Set-up (dining and food service tables in the ballroom) starting at 8:00 p.m. till finished
- Saturday, November 12 - Oxford Empty Bowls! Shifts are generally one-hour long starting at 8:30 a.m.
Things to Know:
- Each job and its corresponding available shifts are listed below. So that as many people can help as possible, we ask that folks sign up for one shift only.
- Runners will be outdoors the entire time, rain or shine (or freezing cold!) so please plan to dress for the weather!
- The correct wearing of face masks will be required for those serving soup, bread, desserts, and beverages; they are recommended for all other indoor volunteers.
- A confirmation message will be sent to volunteers via email on Wednesday, November 9. Please double-check the email address you enter here so we're sure to reach you!
