Day of Action: 'Brain Game' Care Packages
Each June, United Way hosts a 'Day of Action' in communities around the world. This concept brings people together to harness the volunteer spirit and improve the conditions in which they live.
United Way Day of Action is an invitation for people and organizations around the world to LIVE UNITED and take action to address a variety of challenges. It is a day that we ask you to put our mission into action by volunteering to help improve the building blocks for a good quality of life – education, financial stability, and health. Butler County United Way is hosting its Day of Action event on Thursday, June 17 at 4:00 PM in support of Community First Solutions and the senior citizens in the communities that they serve.
Butler County United Way will be assembling ‘Brain Game Care Packages’ to be delivered to Community First Solutions. Each care package will include crossword puzzle books, a Sudoku book, a puzzle, a deck of cards, crayons and a coloring book. The care package will also have a personalized card from the local volunteer who assembled the package. Butler County United Way believes it is important to keep education strong at all stages of an individual’s life.
We invite you to join us in assembling these care packages!
